- The Web That Has No Weaver: Understanding Chinese Medicine, by Ted Kaptchuk. A classic text in the sphere of Chinese medicine, providing a detailed and comprehensive summary of Chinese medicine theory
- Between Heaven and Earth: A Guide to Chinese Medicine, by Harriet Beinfield and Efrem Korn. This book is more of an introductory text to Chinese medicine and not as detailed as “The Web That Has No Weaver.” It does a great job at concisely explaining some of the overarching themes and theory of Chinese medicine.
- Chinese Way to Health: A Self-Help Guide to Traditional Chinese Medicine, by Stephen Gascoigne. This book provides a very accessible and hands-on approach to Chinese Medicine, providing the reader with some simple and practical ideas for self-care.
- The Spark in The Machine: How the Science of Acupuncture Explains the Mysteries of Western Medicine by Dr. Daniel Keown. A great text, highlighting how the combination of western and Chinese medical systems explain how our body works as an integrated whole.
