To say that acupuncture and Julie have changed my life would be an understatement. Three years ago, my husband and I were desperately trying to conceive. After about six months of trying, my mom recommended that I try acupuncture.

Given that I was very much against western intervention, acupuncture was a natural next step for me. After meeting Julie, I knew this was the best approach for me. Julie’s warmth, caring, and comprehensive knowledge made me feel secure, despite the fact that I am terrified of needles!

Julie and I worked together for several months, because no, I didn’t get pregnant immediately. With her guidance, acupuncture, and herbs, we worked through my issues of anxiety and the many blocks in my system.

Of course this story has a happy ending, and Julie was one of the first people who found out that I was pregnant. I continued needles throughout pregnancy and continued to find solace in Julie’s care despite the many changes that come with growing a human.

Fast forward two years or so, as I was just starting to get my feet back after post-partum, I was hit with a complete bombshell when I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Words can’t express the confluence of stress, fear, anger, and sadness that immediately engulfed me.

Thankfully I was able to meet with a wonderful oncologist nearly immediately and even more thankfully, I found time with Julie very shortly thereafter. I don’t think she even knows it, but her kind words and support of my medical treatment plan made all of the difference in the world.

Throughout the next 10 weeks Julie went above and beyond to complement my chemotherapy and radiation with needles and her positive energy. I successfully completed my treatment and am blessed to be cancer free.
