Because summer is the season of fire, and the organ associated with summer is the heart, we will introduce the powerful point known as Shenmen, or Heart 7

It is located on inside of the wrist, at the ulnar end of the wrist crease (the side closest to the pinky finger) in the depression on inside of the tendon m.flexor carpi ulnaris

Heart 7 (HT7) is a powerful point to help calm the mind and nourish the heart and spirit.  Because the heart is the residence of the spirit, all disorders of the spirit may be treated with this point, along with problems of the actual organ itself.  It is used to treat many problems of the heart including most commonly insomnia, palpitations, night sweating, fright, anxiety, depression, or restlessness.
