MS 150 Acupuncture Tent
On June 7, Sara Beth once again helped organize a team of on-site acupuncturists as part of the MS150 Acupuncture Tent at this years’ MS 150, a two-day bike ride from Duluth to the Twin Cities. This event helps the National MS Society fund research and support programs and services for people living with multiple sclerosis.
A team of 17 acupuncturists representing clinics throughout the Twin Cities were on hand to help treat aching joints, reduce fatigue, and give the riders a boost to give them more energy and less pain for the second day of the ride. 218 riders received acupuncture treatment, which is almost double the number the volunteers treated last year! The day started out rainy and damp, but the sun broke through by mid-afternoon and some of the riders enjoyed a treatment in the warm sun.
Good-bye Christie!
Many of you have been lucky enough to meet Christie, whose smiling face and charming personality have greeted patients at the front desk for the last six months. We are so sad to say she is leaving to go to back to Australia later this month. Our lives are richer having known her, and while we look forward to seeing her again soon, we all wish Christie the best during this next stage of her life.
That being said, we are looking forward to introducing you to our new front desk receptionist and the latest member of our clinic family. Keep your eyes open for a new friendly face!
And lastly, here’s a recent photo of our gang and families getting together for a BBQ to celebrate summer and say “Bon Voyage!” to Christie. We hope you all have a happy and safe summer!
